BABA COMPLIANT

Kitchen Kompact satisfies the requirements of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) through its steadfast commitment to domestic manufacturing, operating entirely out of its facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Because BABA mandates that all manufacturing processes for construction materials—including manufactured products like kitchen cabinets used in federally funded infrastructure projects—occur within the United States, Kitchen Kompact’s localized domestic assembly and utilization of regionally sourced components align directly with these federal sourcing preferences. Furthermore, by building their cabinetry lines with domestically processed hardwoods (such as oak, maple, and beech) and adhering to strict national quality and performance standards like HUD, FHA, KCMA, and ANSI/KCMA A161.1, Kitchen Kompact provides federally funded projects with compliant, high-integrity American-made solutions.

KCMA QUALITY TESTED

Kitchen Kompact cabinets are certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA).

The KCMA sponsors the nationally recognized voluntary testing and certification program for cabinets, ANSI/KCMA A161.1, Performance & Construction Standard for Kitchen and Vanity Cabinets. The program is referenced by U.S. government agencies, architects, builders, remodelers, and other specifiers. Cabinets that comply and bear the KCMA certification seal are recognized in the marketplace as a quality product able to perform after a rigorous battery of tests simulating years of typical household use. Tests are performed by approved third-party independent laboratories. Samples for testing are selected in an unannounced visit to the manufacturing plant.

The KCMA Certification Program is open to all cabinet manufacturers. Manufacturers may certify one, several, or all of their cabinet lines. Because of this option, only those lines certified are listed in the annual KCMA Directory of Certified Cabinet Manufacturers. All Kitchen Kompact cabinet lines are certified!

KCMA ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM

Kitchen Kompact is now certified under the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). The ESP was created to encourage industry policies and practices that benefit the environment and the wellbeing of society. This groundbreaking program provides a tangible way for cabinet manufacturers to show their commitment to sustainability.

After meeting certification requirements in air quality, resource management, environmental stewardship and community relations, Kitchen Kompact was awarded the ESP Seal to display on their products.
